แนวโน้มพฤติกรรมผู้บริโภคของโลก ในอีก 5-10 ปีข้างหน้า เป็น 5 กลุ่ม ได้แก่

1. ความเป็นตัวตน (Reset) การย้อนดูตัวเองกับสังคม ใส่ใจกับคนรอบข้าง และการช่วยเหลือผู้อื่น (ที่ไม่ใช่คำว่า จิตอาสา)

2. ความเป็นสังคมเมือง ( Urbanite) เพื่อสนองความสะดวกสบายต้องการที่รวดเร็ว ในการใช้ชีวิต

3. ความเป็นดิจิทัล (Digitize) การเชื่อมโยงของข้อมูลข่าวสาร และสามารถแบ่งปันกันได้

4. นวัตกรรม (Innovation) ผู้บริโภคต้องการสิ่งแปลกใหม่ตลอดเวลา ต้องการมีส่วนร่วมประสบการณ์ในเทคโนโลยีล้ำสมัย แปลกใหม่

5. แรงบันดาลใจ ( Inspire) ซึ่งจะเป็นหัวข้อที่มาแรงที่สุดในปี 2555 การสร้างแรงบันดาลใจที่มีต่อธรรมชาติ ธรรมะ และความธรรมดา (ที่ไม่ใช่คำว่า คิดบวก) ทั้งนี้ เทรนด์การตลาดที่สร้าง “แรงบันดาลใจ” หรือพลังธรรมดา ธรรมะ ธรรมชาติ แบ่งออกได้ 12 ข้อใน 4 กลุ่มดังนี้

กลุ่มแรก การเปลี่ยนแปลงพฤติกรรมของผู้บริโภค 1. ผู้บริโภคจะหันมาใส่ใจความเป็นมาและเรื่องราวของแบรนด์ ซึ่งสินค้าจะเป็นหัวใจหลักในการรับรู้ของภาพลักษณ์ทั้งหมด 2. การสื่อสาร การออกแบบสินค้าและบริการที่พัฒนาสู่ความเรียบง่ายในการเข้าถึง เป็นกันเอง ไม่เกินเอื้อมต่อผู้บริโภค 3. ผู้บริโภคหันมาให้ความสนใจในรากเหง้าทางวัฒนธรรมของตนมากขึ้น “การแบ่งกลุ่มเป้าหมาย จากเดิมแบ่งตามอายุ เพศ ในยุคนี้กลุ่มเป้าหมาย คือ ความสนใจ ของผู้บริโภคเพื่อให้การสื่อสารนี้มีประสิทธิภาพสูงสุด”

กลุ่มที่สอง การใช้สื่อ 4. สื่ออินเตอร์แอคทีฟ โดยเฉพาะสมาร์ทโฟน การตลาดจะยาก แต่เป็นวิธีสร้างสรรค์ เพื่อพัฒนาประสบการณ์ร่วมกับแบรนด์ 5. สื่อดิจิทัลนี้ จะนำมาเป็นแนวทางในการพัฒนาเป็นคอนเทนต์ต่อไป 6. แบรนด์จะมีการนำแบรนด์แอมบาสเดอร์มาสื่อสาร ผู้บริโภคชอบการเข้าถึงความมีตัวตน ทัศนคติ การแสดงออกเหล่านี้คือบุคลิกที่มากกว่ารูปแบบการค้า

กลุ่มที่สาม สร้างประสบการณ์ใหม่ด้วยสื่อใหม่ 7. ยุคสมัยการเข้าถึงข้อมูล ผู้บริโภคสามารถเลือกหรือแสดงข้อคิดเห็นได้ง่ายขึ้น 8. สร้างประสบการณ์การตลาดที่จับต้องได้ สนุก มีลูกเล่นทางประสาทสัมผัส โดยผ่านเทคโนโลยีนั้นเอง 9. การมีส่วนร่วมของผู้บริโภคในการออกแบบสินค้า Co-Creation

กลุ่มที่สี่ การสร้างสรรค์แคมเปญที่มุ่งพลังที่ยั่งยืนแก่สังคม (ที่ไม่ใช่คำว่า คิดบวก) 10. การสร้างสังคมออนไลน์ แต่พึงระลึกไว้เสมอว่าโซเซียลมีเดีย ถูกคิดค้นมา “เพื่อน” มากกว่าการตลาด 11. แบรนด์จะเป็นตัวแทนในการทำความดี (ที่ไม่ควรทำดี เอาหน้า) และ 12. สุดท้าย ผู้บริโภคจะเลือกซื้อสินค้าหรือบริการ จะเล็งเห็นผลที่มีช่องทางในการทำความดี หรือการมีส่วนช่วยเหลือ ที่ง่ายๆ ร่วมกับแบรนด์สินค้า
